Our graduates are highly sought after, with approximately 38% of the Class of 2024 choosing to practice in Kentucky.

Graduate Medical Education

With more than 70 residency and fellowship programs, our physicians have opportunities to learn and train across several regional sites across Kentucky.

Biomedical Education

Our Office of Biomedical Education supports the academic and professional development of biomedical graduate students and postdoctoral scholars, advancing biomedical research through innovative training and collaborative learning.

Transforming Health Education Across Kentucky

 

To address Kentucky’s healthcare needs, we have expanded our reach through regional campuses: 

• Bowling Green Campus: In partnership with Med Center Health and WKU. 

• Northern Kentucky Campus: In partnership with St. Elizabeth Healthcare and NKU. 

• Morehead Campus: In partnership with St. Claire HealthCare, we train future physicians to serve rural communities in Eastern Kentucky through the Rural Physician Leadership Program. 

Our campuses provide the same rigorous curriculum as Lexington, focusing on early clinical experiences and collaborative learning across disciplines. 

Research and Innovation

Our faculty are at the forefront of medical research, tackling Kentucky’s most pressing health challenges through collaboration, innovation, and discovery. We secure millions in (NIH) funding each year, advancing science and improving health outcomes. 

Our research not only advances medicine but also enriches the learning environment for our students, preparing them to become leaders in their fields.
