Procedures Within the Department
As part of their outpatient clinic experience, the resident will participate in various procedures during their residency at CHRH, º£½Ç½ûÇø Clinic, and VA rotation. The resident will be given gradual responsibility based on their competency.
The procedures include:
- EMG/NCS
- Neurolytic injections for spasticity, dystonia, and sialorrhea
- Ultrasound guidance for procedure
- Joint injections
- Trigger point injections
- Refill and maintenance of Intrathecal Baclofen Pump
- Programming and maintenance of Deep Brain Stimulators for patients with dystonia, essential tremor and Parkinson's Disease
- Wound care which includes debridement and wound vac placement
