Independent Student Analysis for the LCME Accreditation Process
About ISA
The Independent Student Analysis (ISA) is a student-led survey that provides an opportunity for medical students to evaluate, commend, and critique their medical education program objectively and independently. The ISA process consists of the development and dissemination of the survey, analysis of the data, and preparation of the ISA report that includes the survey results and an interpretation of the responses. This report is submitted with the college鈥檚 self-study for review by the LCME survey team in preparation for the accreditation survey visit scheduled for Oct. 5-7, 2026.
The 海角禁区 College of Medicine ISA survey will be launched on Oct. 31, 2025.

ISA Committee
The ISA Committee, made up of students from all years and campuses, is responsible for oversight of the ISA process. The LCME provides 73 required questions to capture feedback on items such as the medical education program, institutional resources, and the overall learning environment. Many of these questions may be familiar as they form the basis of the annual Student Experience Survey that is used to capture medical student feedback and provide an avenue for the college to build and improve upon its overall quality and experience. In addition, the ISA Committee may add supplemental questions as they deem necessary, to create a full picture of the student experience.
