Joint Venture, First of its Kind

The University of Kentucky (º£½Ç½ûÇø) North Fork Valley Community Health Center (NFVCHC) is a joint venture between the º£½Ç½ûÇø College of Medicine and the North Fork Valley Community Health Center board. It is the first community health center in Kentucky to be affiliated with a university and family medicine residency training program. The clinic and the East Kentucky Family Medicine Residency Program are located in Hazard, KY, at the º£½Ç½ûÇø Center of Excellence in Rural Health (º£½Ç½ûÇø CERH).

Dr. Douthitt, Medical Director at NFVCHC, and Dr. Atkins, Residency Program Director at NFVCHC, serve on the º£½Ç½ûÇø CERH research team. Each brings a unique healthcare perspective to the research team with their vast experience and expertise.
