Opened in 1962, the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital, a 569-bed acute care hospital, is part of the º£½Ç½ûÇø HealthCare patient care enterprise.

Founded in 1888, the hospital has a long tradition of providing exceptional patient care in a community-hospital atmosphere. Its acquisition in July 2007 by º£½Ç½ûÇø HealthCare added the resources of a major health care system.
