Research

  • In fiscal year 2021, the college’s research funding totaled more than $232.7 million, with its National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding doubling since fiscal year 2017.
  • The College of Medicine accounts for more than 40 percent of º£½Ç½ûÇøâ€™s total grants and contracts.
  • College of Medicine had a significant research funding increase of 15.9% in 2021.
  • Currently, the college has more than 245,000 net square feet of research space.
  • The College of Medicine Is one of six health-related colleges at the University (Dentistry, Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health), encompassing a combined 25 basic science and clinical departments and more than 1,100 full-time faculty members.
