At the heart of our accreditation journey is a dedicated leadership team committed to advancing our mission, upholding the highest standards, and empowering every area of the College of Medicine — across Lexington, Bowling Green, Northern Kentucky, and Morehead.

Leading this effort is Dean Chipper Griffith, MD, whose longstanding commitment to medical education and service to the Commonwealth continues to shape our vision for the future.

Supporting medical student education is Stephanie White, MD, senior associate dean, who oversees the student experience across all campuses, including admissions, curriculum, career advising, and accreditation.

Strong leadership also extends across our regional campuses through our associate deans, who ensure that the college’s mission is fully realized in every location:

  • Caroline Paul, MD, Associate Dean, Bowling Green Campus

  • Holly Danneman, MD, Associate Dean, Northern Kentucky Campus

  • Rebecca Todd, MD, Associate Dean, Rural Physician Leadership Program (Morehead)

Leadership and Accreditation

Accreditation is a collective responsibility, and our team reflects the depth and breadth of expertise guiding education, research, operations, and community engagement. This unified leadership structure is central to LCME Standard 2: Leadership and Administration. Our leaders ensure that:

  • Decision-making is effective and mission-aligned

  • Resources are strategically deployed to support our goals

  • Campuses are coordinated through strong administrative oversight

Key features include:

  • Clear authority: Senior administrators are formally appointed with direct access to university leadership.

  • Adequate support: Associate and assistant deans, unit leaders, and staff have the time and resources to advance our mission.

  • Integrated operations: Faculty and administrators collaborate through shared governance, coordinated processes, and consistent communication.

Together, this empowered and connected leadership team ensures the medical education program runs smoothly, consistently, and effectively across all campuses — providing a strong foundation to meet and exceed LCME expectations.
