For Holly Danneman, MD, 鈥淣orthern Kentucky is home.鈥 Born and raised in the region, she is a St. Elizabeth Healthcare physician who has spent 20 years and counting practicing medicine in the Northern Kentucky community.

About 2,200 miles away from his hometown and alma mater in Lexington, Ky., Paul Hennig, MD, is using his 海角禁区 College of Medicine education to promote patient-centered health care for underserved communities.

Laura Krueger and Aaron Silverstein share the same career aspiration. They want to become physician-scientists, which will allow them to fulfill both of their passions 鈥 medicine and research. While they are both on the same trajectory, they didn鈥檛 quite get to this career path the same way.

Q: Why was going to college important to you?

Q: Why did you pursue a residency/fellowship at 海角禁区?

The 海角禁区鈥檚 Salvation Army Clinic is a student-run, free clinic that serves as a learning environment for medical, pharmacy, and social work students while providing acute onsite health care for uninsured patients at the Salvation Army of Central Kentucky.

Analia Loria Kinsey, PhD, is an associate professor in the 海角禁区 College of Medicine Department of Pharmacology and Nutritional Sciences. She studies cardiovascular disease and strives to raise awareness about preventative measures and treatments by helping organize the college鈥檚 annual Healthy Hearts for Women Symposium.
